The Superannuation Guarantee (SG) provides income for employees in their retirement. The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) has a number of tools and calculators to help business owners get their SG payments right.
The ATO has a ‘Paying Super is an important part of being an employer’ brochure, which is a brief six steps to ensure everything is covered.
There is also a ‘Super guarantee client health check’ – a checklist which can be used along with the brochure, as well as free ‘Super obligations for employers’ webinars held by the ATO throughout December.
To access this material, please visit the ATO website here.
